Ecchymose - Recycled Shrug

It's almost 2 am and maybe not the right time to write a "personal" post on this blog which is supposed to be about my business only. But well, I need to take it off...

I left my husband, there was no love anymore and a lot of problems we couldn't overcome. I made the decision last Spring and I won't enter in the details but things are getting ugly and I am left with nothing.

Thing is now I am leaving far away of Nashville because all the supposed friends I had were not there to help me. I am trying all I can to come back to Nashville because this is the only place I can find a part time job and continue to work like crazy on Recycled by Hyena.

I won't let it down, as I won't let down the 2 loves of my life who are sticking up with me. I am really down and depressed but I am trying to maintain my head out of the water and I have been working, very very slowly on the new collection. Not having my machines with me makes it extremely difficult and I have been doing a LOT of hand sewing.

Several months ago I told a friend I would prefer to have love and be happy than to have money, that I didn't "really"care about money. Karma bit me in the ass I guess as I now wonder if I won't be obliged to get food stamps.

Anyway I am part russian, I am "strong" and stubborn, and I am loved. It should be ok.

In other news, there is a lot of change in my life right now. I am working on a new recycled fiber jewelry collection and will post pictures soon. I have ton of ideas for a new clothing collection but I don't have my sewing machines with me right now. Stay tuned because it will be awesome. If I say so!

Runway Show in Southern France the 8th of May! Edit: the 22nd of May it will be!!!!

My work will be shown in Sete, Southern France the 8th of May! I submitted 4 outfits, with matching jewelry and they will be available in La Petite Marchande brick&mortar store after the show! I wish I could be there! A video will follow. :)

Success?

Sunday I sold 2 items in the same day. It happens before of course, but it was 2 items to the same person. This time, the first time, it was not. Somehow, it was feeling like a milestone, a kind of success. I don't really know how to express it, but I was really pleased. The funny thing about the jacket is I didn't even had the time to list it anywhere! It flew off the hanger! :)

Also my work is featured in another treasury from my lovely French Team!

And last but not least, another addition to the Spring Collection, Incroyable, Recycled Spring Coat.

 

Sold, Treasuries and new collection" - What happened the last week

Apart from being sick and sick and sick the last 7 days, I have sold Velours. I am so happy because I really love that piece! All in all, I think I sold most of my Winter Collection, the one I designed for that runway show in Atlanta, the one I never did because they got rid of me at the last minute. Karma la la la!!!

My work was featured in several awesome treasuries as well. Again, a huge MERCI to our wonderful french team!
